Set up IPTV on
Kodi.
Kodi turns any supported device into a media centre. Adding IPTV takes one add-on, and then your channels appear alongside everything else in Kodi. You can use M3U playlist URLs or Xtream Codes login.
Before you start
- Kodi installed on your device
- Your M3U playlist link and EPG guide address from us, or Xtream Codes credentials
Step by step
Open the add-on browser
In Kodi, go to Add-ons, then choose Install from repository or search the add-on list.
Install PVR IPTV Simple Client
Find PVR IPTV Simple Client in the PVR clients section and install it.
Open its settings
Go to Configure and choose the General tab.
Choose your method
For M3U: Set the M3U playlist URL to the link we sent you. For Xtream: Look for Xtream Codes options in settings and enter your username, password and server.
Add the EPG guide
Set the XMLTV guide URL to the EPG link we sent you so you get programme information.
Enable and restart
Make sure the PVR client is enabled, then restart Kodi and open the TV section.
- Good to know
Kodi also runs on Fire TV, Android TV and Raspberry Pi, so this method works across most of your devices. Xtream Codes support may vary by PVR client version.
Kodi FAQs
Should I use M3U or Xtream Codes?
Both work in Kodi. Xtream Codes provides better organization and automatic EPG, while M3U URLs are more universally compatible.
My TV section is empty.
Restart Kodi after enabling the PVR client. It only loads the channel list at startup.
Do I need separate playlist and EPG links?
For M3U method, yes. The M3U holds channels and the XMLTV provides programme listings. Xtream Codes includes EPG automatically.
